UK Songwriting Contest 2024

SO... what a year for Siberian Studios! All three entries recorded here received awards at the UK Songwriting Competition !

"Dusk & Dark Skies" from the album 'Yorkshire Dales Elements' was awarded the maximum Five Stars and eventually made it in to the 'Finalist' section of the Instrumental category. The piece illustrates through natural sounds and original music, the beauty of The Yorkshire Dales especially as the day draws to a close and the night's firmament is revealed. You can hear it here!

" A Music of Memories" from a forthcoming album being recorded here at Siberian Studios was also awarded Five Stars and received a "Highly Commended" certificate from the judges. The song is a poignant love song sung my a husband mourning his recently passed wife and imagining a time when they may once again sing together. The album will be released in Spring 2025.

Finally, BJ Franklin's was recognised for its songwriting abilities with a Four Star 'Commended Entry' award for the song "The Claw and The Curse" from his new musical 'Hans Half Hog'.
