Musicals

An Archive of the many school musicals created at Siberian Studios over the years.

We hope they can be used again and again and in that spirit we do not charge schools for either the scripts or music.

Get in touch if you would like the backing tracks, guide vocal tracks, scripts and other materials for any of the below productions.

Bethlehemdale.jpg

'Bethlehemdale'

A 'Yuletide Yorkshire Yarn' or 'A Northern Nativity'

Imagine if the greatest miracle ever has happened right here in Northern England. A light hearted musical with a serious and respectful finale.

Bethlehemdale has now been performed by several different schools and always been extremely well received by audiences. Over 3000 people have seen Bethlehemdale.

millennium.jpg

'Millennium'

It's New Years Eve and a small boy and his dog magically travel through Britain's past to discover who they are.

Written for the Millennium celebrations in 1999-2000, this production was performed to almost a thousand people over four days. Many of the songs have since been used to support National Curriculum History teaching.

'SCROOGE'

Based on Dickens' novel, this humourous version of 'A Christmas Carol' has been performed by many different schools to great success.

This festive favourite never ceases to please. With sing-a-long songs like 'Oh How We Laughed' to the thought provoking 'Was I wrong all along?' the message is very clear - there is more to life than money and possessions. This musical ends with the the mega- feel good song 'Let's hear it for Christmas' - so infectious you'll be humming it into the new year!

Cinderella.jpg

'Cinderella and her poetic fella!'

This version of the popular fairy-tale has all the traditional characters and then some!

Blues singing Rats and rock star stepsisters are only upstaged by Prince Charming's awful poetry that possible explains his 'single' status!
The Fairy Godmother has her work cut-out for her!

'The Reason Why'

Friendly Aliens encounter Father Christmas on his rounds and curiosity gets the better of them!

This musical was written for our youngest performers in Key Stage One. The original age appropriate songs and traditional carol medley compliment the story that explains to the aliens what is happening on Earth and 'The Reason Why'.

Panto_Postman.jpg

'The Pantomime Postman'

Its the Panto season but every panto seems to have an important prop missing - Can Stan - The Pantomime Postman save the day?

Combining several favourite pantos and Panto characters not to mention some audience participation - 'oh yes there is!' This musical has been enjoyed by audiences at many different schools.

eric.jpg

'Eric Hood - Prince of Loaves'

Robin Hood is distracted by his new love, Marion, leaving the evil Sherriff of Nottingham to persecute the peasants. Who can save the day?

Maybe Robin's brother, Eric - but he's just a baker. I this sequel to the traditional story we learn that you should never underestimate flour power!
They're all here in this celebration of silliness; Robin, Marion, Merry Men, the Evil Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John and a supporting cast of thousands - if needed.

Kipper.jpg

'Jack the Kipper'

JR Skillet - Owner of Skillets Fillets is missing. The workers think he has been taken by 'The Kipper'. JR Skillet Jr employs the skills of Sherlock Holmes and wit(?) of Doctor Watson to discover the  truth. (Nobody dies or gets hurt although stunt fish maybe needed.)

Its all here...visits to New Scotland Yard before it was new - chases around Old London town and botany lessons about bushes bearing yellow fruit - 'a lemon tree my dear Watson'!! Audiences have been rolling in the aisles and called for encores.

King Arthur.jpg

'King Arthur & the Knights of

the Occasional Table'

Guinevere is dismayed to find her newly betrothed Arthur is yet to grow-up preferring hunting and quaffing to considering interior decor and furniture for Camelot.

She sends out the Knights (that's Arthur's mates to you and me) on a quest to scour the land for home improvements and throw cushions.
In terms of silliness it just doesn't get better (or sillier) than the song and dance number, 'The Mediaeval Mambo'!

james blonde.jpg

'James Blonde'

Our greatest international spy has decided to retire! Who can possibly replace him (or her - if you so wish.)

In an attempt to find a replacement MI9 & three-quarters have identified four mad, bad and dangerous-to-know 'baddies' that all have designs on world domination - of course!

Can the candidates selected to replace James, foil their evil plans, can they impress 'm' (lower- case as she is quite small) and most importantly secure a bus pass for the soon-to-be pensioner?
