July - a great time for recording nature!

Hedgerow flowers alongside the country lanes above Shap.

Natural sounds abound at this time of year especially if you are prepared to get up early. And by early I mean 4.30am!

I've been traversing The Dales and the area around Shap and Keld to make new recordings and take some breathtaking photographs.

If you see a guy wearing large headphones with what looks like a Hedgehog on a stick - its me - recording nature for posterity.

Shhh - I'm recording!

I'm not being anti-social if I don't acknowledge you - honest!
